Can You Guess Where We're Going Next?

We moved to NYC with Big Dreams and empty pockets. We leave now with even bigger dreams and a respectful reverence for successful defeat.  According to the worlds standards our big city soliloquy was a big time bust. We never gained any monetary riches and we certainly didn't become famous. And in a very short while, maybe even at this very moment the often turbulent winds of change will inevitably devour every last trace that we even existed.

Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lesson afterward. John Amatt said this, "Adventure isn't hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life-- facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential."  And so with a confident swagger and a new found resolute big city vibrato this small town Utah gal can say adieu to the city that never sleeps and embrace the moments that have past and the ones still to come.

  5. Congratulations and best wishes on your new adventure in D.C. We are sure you two will have a blast and we look forward to reading all about it on your blog. (Ditto on the previous "eloquent writer" comment.) Thanks again for coming to our ward and for magnifying your callings, and don't doubt that you guys are truly missed. Um... and speaking of missed, what you guys really missed out on was the traditional (and, yes, cheesy and embarrassing) Bensonhurst Ward "Till We Meet" farewell at the end of our Sacrament Meeting. Whew! Your guys certainly dodged that bullet! :) All the best, The Motzings.
